May Not post for a while

Just a heads up...I had to withdraw from the class due to some family emergencies.  This means that I may not post until next session because I do not have the assignments. :)  But I may peak in at your postings from time to time.  I will start up again next session when I start the class over. :p

Keep having fun.

Hug A Tree Exercise

In our classroom discussion I brought up the technique of hugging a tree to help find Unity Consciousness.  This is a fun little exercise I stumbled across in my youth.  I was having a hard day and was out climbing in my favorite tree and realized that I needed a hug.  As there was no one around I hugged the tree.  And to my surprise, it felt as if the tree was hugging me back and I felt much better.  No, I had not read the giving tree by Shel Silverstein at this point in my life.  Later in my youth I did and have loved the book.  But back to  the exercise.

Try it yourself, have a patient try it, you might like it, you might find it strange to you, you might like it better if you think know one is watching. ;)  But it is fun to try and while people may not get it at first, I have, so far, had 100% success rate with this technique and feeling the energy of ???   Ah ha... Only you can answer this.  (Warning) It may not work the first time and it may take some time before someone understands it,  patient and open mindedness are the keys.

How it works... All you have to do is sincerely hug a tree.  It works best if you first find a tree that you are drawn too or feel connected to and then sincerely give it a loving hug.  In this moment just open up and give a good loving hug.  That is it.  Afterwards it is good to reflect on how it felt and made you feel.  Please remember that sometimes it takes longer to realize how being a literal tree hugger made you feel ??? Ah ha... got you again. :) Only you can answer this. This being: felt what.

Please try it and post you response to what you got out of it.  I would love to hear.  Even if it is nothing for now and you do not think it helped you at all. ;)

Journey On Relaxation Exercise

I have done many different types of meditation throughout my life.  Many of these have been Guided Meditations.  To help everyone better understand where I am coming from and my experience in meditation, I have been helping others learn different meditations and techniques for the past eight years.  I, myself have been practicing meditation for the past twenty.  In this time I had only found one guided meditation that was not favorable at the time.  That one involved a drum being sounded in peoples ears.  It was to loud for me personally but others enjoyed it.  As far as Journey On Relaxation goes: I found it had great description of the relation of breath with good meditation.  It is a bit long for most beginners.  I start most of my beginners with only five minute meditations every day.  Then increase it as they find their breath more easy to continue and their mind to clear.  This usually takes about one to two weeks.  It is at this point I would impalement this kind of guided meditation.  I also found the random flute playing to be a little distracting for someone who is trying to put their mind at peace for the first time.  Again, for someone who has been trying for a couple of weeks it is a good guided meditation.

Welcome / Starting a Blog

Hello to Everyone,

So, if you know me, you know that I am not one who likes to have a public Journal.  I like to keep my personal thoughts to myself and write them in a private Journal.  If you think you know me you are instantly saying: "That's not true! You always say what is on your mind."  That remark proves that you think you know me.    While it is true, that I am very honest and will not say anything that I would not say to someone in person, what do I do with all the things I am unwilling to say?  Hmmmm.  Trust me when I say, there are times when my tongue is bleeding. I do keep a personal journal to help me evaluate personal situations and get a better view of what is going on.  A way to see things from a different point of view or an outsider's view.  This Blog is NOT that.  At this point I am not sure what it will end up being.  I was required to create a Blog for one of my classes.  I am uncertain as to just how keeping this public Journal is going to help me in my class.  I guess we will all find out together.
